Where?  361 East 19th Street (at First Ave), NY, NY 10003

What?  8 sessions, including:

· individual pre-screening with parent-child (throughout September)

· 5 group play-based sessions with parents and children with corresponding guidance from licensed psychologists (beginning Oct 3)

· Parents-only group to discuss ideas

· Individual post-assessment with parent-child with specific feedback.

Why?

Playing is the key for development in young children

Parents are children’s “first, and favorite, playmate” (www.zerotothree.org)

Children with developmental delays often have difficulty with play skills, and with playing with others

Parents often struggle to find ways to play with their children with developmental delays, or find ways to promote their children’s development through play.

Play is not always easy for adults.  Many of us forget how we played as children.
