Psychological Evaluations: including those for the purposes of diagnosing autism-spectrum disorders and for assessment of intellectual, academic, social-emotional, and adaptive functioning. Dr. Tobing-Puente is trained to use the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), a leading, highly reliable assessment tool for individuals suspected of having an autism-spectrum disorder.

Psychoeducational Evaluations: including those in support of applications for schools.  Includes intellectual (IQ), academic, personality, and behavioral assessment, and other assessment tools, as needed

Developmental Evaluations: to assess a child’s level of overall development (including their cognitive, speech/language, motor, adaptive, and social-emotional development).

All evaluations include parent interview, formal testing, observations of parent-child interactions, school observation (if applicable), comprehensive report including  detailed results and recommendations, and parent feedback session.

Floortime™: Play-based therapy for children with autism-spectrum and related disorders, including parent, caregiver, and therapist coaching.  Click the “DIR/Floortime” link for more information. 

 

 

 

 

 

Child counseling/psychotherapy: including play therapy and talk-based psychotherapy (depending on the child) to address social-emotional and/or behavioral concerns. 

Consultations: including providing recommendations, support, information, and training for families, programs, and independent professionals.

Parent Groups: currently provided through NAA--NYC for parents of children on the autism spectrum; opportunities for parents to connect with one another, share experiences, and gain support and information regarding diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis for children with autism-spectrum disorders.

Dr. Tobing-Puente's services are provided at her office, located within Watch Me Grow, a children’s sensory gym and speech/language center.   Dr. Tobing-Puente’s clients have the benefit of using Watch Me Grow’s sensory gym and related This provides Dr. Tobing-Puente's clients with multiple opportunities for a variety of intervention methods to develop their ability to build relationships with others.
